John “Johner” O’Brien

John O’Brien “Johner” passed away on March 28, 2024, with his loving family by his side. He is the beloved son of John and the late Maryann (nee O’Brien) Galiczynski. Dear brother of Patricia “Peachie” Muerdler (George) and Kevin Galiczynski (Kelly). Loving uncle of Kandice, Dylan, Chase, and great uncle of Ava, Zayden, and Laeton. Sadly missed by his aunts, uncles, and cousins. 

Johner was born in Philadelphia on September 11, 1973 and was a lifelong Fishtowner.  He was a true Philadelphia sports fan who followed all of his home teams. He also loved a good party, always being the first one to arrive and the last one to leave. Holidays and family gatherings were very special to him and he was sure to bring home leftovers of all of his favorite foods. Johner will be greatly missed by all those who knew and loved him but they take comfort that he is no longer in pain and is reunited in heaven with his mother.

Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing and funeral Thursday April 4, 2024 beginning at 10am in the Hubert M. McBride Funeral Home 2357 East Cumberland Street Philadelphia, PA 19125, followed by prayers and words of remembrance at 12pm.
