Dolores Horan Lekner

Dolores was born in Philadelphia to the late Richard and Genevieve Burns Horan.  She passed away early Saturday morning surrounded by her loving family in Jeanes Hospital.

She had  been a waitress in a number of restaurants in center city and in the dining room at the former Strawbridge and Clothier Department Store at 8th and Market. 

She is the loving mother of Jean Samborek ( the late Edward ), Sharon Cervantes ( the late Robert ), Doreen Thompson ( the late Les ) and Julia Ann Leslie ( Jay, Sr. ). Devoted Mom Mom to Thomas, Shannon, Michael, Robert, Jay Jr, Patrick and the late James.  Great Grandmom of 8 and great great grandmom of 2.  Dearest sister of the late Joan, Geraldine, Richard, James and Helen.  She sadly missed by her many nieces, nephews and many friends. 

Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing and funeral on Wednesday December 4, 2019 beginning at 8:30 AM, in the McELVARR FUNERAL HOME, 1415-17 East Susquehanna Avenue, Fishtown.  Funeral Mass will begin at 11 AM in Holy Name of Jesus Church, 701 East Gaul Street.  Int. will follow in Palmer Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, the family is respectfully requesting memorials to Holy Name Church .
