James S. Ray, known to everyone as Scott "The Great One" age 53, passed away at home on February 25, 2019 after a courageous battle with cancer. He was surrounded by his loving family. He is the devoted husband of MaryEllen Mullen.  Beloved son of Herbert S. Sr. and the late Anna Mae (nee Louden) Ray. Dear brother of Herbert S. Jr. "Butch" (Dawn), Anna Ray, and Erich Ray (Dawn). Loving nephew of James Hyde (Jackie). Cherished brother in law of Rocky Long (late Mary Ann), Harry Mullen (Eileen), Carol Burke (late Mike), Linda Lesher (Ed "Farmer"), Tommy Mullen (Jackie), Bossy Mullen (late Rose), and the late JoJo Long (late Kay), Celeste McAdams (late Jimmy), Sissy Adams (Jim), and Moon (Helen). Sadly missed by his many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing and funeral Saturday, March 2, 2019 beginning at 9am-10:45am in St. Joan of Arc Church 3546 Frankford Ave. Philadelphia PA 19134. Funeral Mass 11am. Interment Westminster Cemetery.
