Joseph Edward Hones passed away on February 14, 2018 in Hollwood, Florida. He was 62 years old. Beloved son of Mary (nee Clark) and the late Francis J. Dear brother of Francis J. II "Butch" (Catherine), Nancy O'Connor, Donna Anderson (Thomas), Karen (Joe), Kevin (France), and the late Michael. Sadly missed by his nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. Joseph was a proud veteran who served his country in the Army and Army reserves. He relocated to Florida in his twenties where he worked as a mailman for the United States Postal service for many years. Relatives and friends are invited to gather and celebrate his life Saturday, January 5, 2018 beginning at 9:30am in the McElvarr Funeral Home 1415-17 E. Susquehanna Ave. Philadelphia PA 19125 (Fishtown). Words of Remembrance 11am. Burial with military honors to follow.
