Kevin J. McCabe passed away on June 20, 2019 in Temple University Hospital, at the age of 53. He is the loving brother of Donna McCabe Johnston (Batman), Brian McCabe (Mary), Michael McCabe (Sandy),Kenny Phy, Robert Phy (Kathy), Greg Phy (Lisa), and the late William McCabe. Loving uncle to his nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. Sadly missed by his dear friend Donna Parsons and her family. Predeceased by his parents Edward McCabe and Doris McCabe (nee Groves) and his "baby" Erin McDermott who was like a daughter to him. 

Kevin was born and raised in the Fishtown section of Philadelphia. He was a Philadelphia sports fan who loved the Phillies and Eagles. He enjoyed reading the daily news and anything pertaining to numbers...they were his thing. He loved playing the lottery and never forgot a birthdate. For some reason he hated Tuesdays. He was short in stature but strong and tough. He will be missed most by his family for his infectious, loud laugh, his late night breakfasts, and the sloppy beer breath kisses on the cheek he loved to give them.

Kevin's wishes were to be cremated. Relatives and friends are invited to join the family Saturday July 20, 2019 at 11am in Palmer Cemetery (Fishtown) for commital services, where Kevin's ashes will be buried with his mother and brother.
