Marge McAvinue

Marge was born in Philadelphia to the late Thomas E. Sr. and Margaret M. Sullivan McAvinue.  She passed way in Thomas Jefferson Hospital, surrounded by her loving family. 

Marge graduated from Holy Name School in 1965.  She was a graduate of John. W. Hallahan Girls Catholic High School, Class of '69.  Always one with a quick wit and a snappy response,  she was also there to lend a helping hand to those who needed it.  Marge had worked in the Priory of Holy Name Parish for many years. 

As far as her family was concerned, she went above and beyond the call of duty as an aunt,  she was beloved among her nieces, nephews and her great nieces and nephews, in fact all who knew her.

She will be sadly missed by her Life Partner, Pat Burke, brother James W. McAvinue and sister Bernadette Paluszek ( the late Mark ). She was predeceased by her brother, Thomas E. McAvinue Jr. ( Gloria ).      

Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing Saturday October 26, 2019 at 9am followed by her Funeral Mass at 11 AM. in Holy Name of Jesus Church.  Marge will be laid to rest with her parents in Our Lady of Grace Cemetery,  at a later date.
