Mary J. Hones (nee Clark) passed away peacefully on December 11, 2018, surrounded by her loving family. She was 95 years old. She was the wife of the late Francis J.  Devoted mother of Francis J. II "Butch" (Catherine), Nancy O'Connor, Donna Anderson(Thomas), Karen (Joe), Kevin (France), and the late Michael and Joseph.  Cherished Gram to her 9 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. Dear sister of the late Sheridan Clark (late Marge).  Mary will be remembered for her devotion to her family and also for her time as owner and operator of Mary's Restaurant in Port Richmond, which is still family owned. She enjoyed her retirement spending time socially at the Lutheran Settlement and the 5 and 1 at Fishtown Rec, crocheting, and of course spending time with her children and grandchildren. Relatives and friends are invited to gather and celebrate her life Saturday, January 5, 2019 Beginning at 9:30am in the McElvarr Funeral Home 1415 -17 E. Susquehanna Ave. Philadelphia PA 19125 (Fishtown). Words of Remembrance 11am. Burial to follow in Palmer Cemetery.
