Mary T. Newton

Mary was born in Philadelphia to the late Raymond and Catherine McDermott Halterman.  She passed away at her home surrounded by her loving family. 

She is the devoted widow of the late John W. Newton.  Loving mother of John W. Newton Jr.,  Kathy Knowles, Robert Newton, Michael Newton, Mary Newton, Dawn Newton , Joseph Newton and the late William Newton. Loving Mom-Mom to Holly, John, Erica, Joseph, Alexis, Mallory, Chrystal, Kathy, Brittany, Courtney, Karl, Robert, Tia, Tyler, Layah and Michael.   Dear great grandmom to 24.  Mary was predeceased by 13 brothers and sisters.  She will be sadly missed  by her nieces, nephews and her extended family and friends.

Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing on Monday July 8, 2019, beginning at 9:30 AM and to her Service of Christian Burial at 11 AM, in the McELVARR FUNERAL HOME, 1415-17 East Susquehanna avenue, Fishtown.  Int will follow at Magnolia Cemetery.
