Robert R. Bond Sr. "Bob" passed away peacefully on May 15, 2019, surrounded by his loving family. He is the beloved husband of 52 years to Janet (nee Davis). Devoted father of Janet Morell (John), Robert R. Jr. (Margaret), and Karen Stermel (Christopher). Loving Pop to his 8 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Sadly missed by his extended family. 

Bob was born and raised in the Kensington section of Philadelphia, the cherished only child of Oscar and Ida (nee Strohecker). He remained here for many years and started his family. He had more recently lived in Bridesburg. Bob worked for SEPTA as both a driver and in the yard as a jockey. He was also a mechanic who was talented in fixing cars and all things. He loved old shows and country music and had a wonderful sense of humor, which he passed down to his family. 

Relatives and friends are invited to gather and celebrate his life Monday May 20, 2019 beginning at 10am in the Hubert M. McBride Funeral Home 2357 E. Cumberland St. Philadelphia PA 19125. Funeral service 11:30am.
