Robert F. Hertensteiner "Herky" passed away on March 12, 2019 surrounded by his loving family. He is the beloved husband of Rita "Dolly" (nee Binkowski). Devoted father of Lisa Bunyard (Ray), Robin Riley, Robert Hertensteiner (Angel), and Lynn Hertensteiner-Shank.  Loving Pop of Raymond, Lindsay, Neil Jr., Kyle, Josh, Leea (Kyle), Billy, Bobby, and Avery. Great Grandpop of Olivia and Jack Ryan. Dear brother of Gertrude Taylor (late Ed), Sheri Friedenburgh (Bob), Tillie Barsher (Larry), Ann Long (Michael), and the late Emil "Bud" Hertensteiner (Betty), Rose Gilbert, and Carl Hertensteiner (late Janice). Sadly missed by his nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to his burial and committal services with military honors Friday April 5, 2019 promptly at 1pm in Washington Crossings National Cemetery 830 Highland Rd. Newtown, PA 18940.  Those wishing to attend should meet at the cemetery by 12:45pm or if traveling from the Fishtown area, a funeral procession will leave Hubert M. McBride Funeral Home promptly at 11:45am.  Herky was a proud member of Fishtown AC Alumni.
