Ruth Ann "SISSY' Houseman

Sissy was born in Philadelphia to the late Charles and Alberta Straub Schneider.  She passed away in Temple University Hospital , after a brief illness.

Sissy was famous for her homemade butter cream candies, and enjoyed by all  who received them.  She was a member of Holy Name Parish. 

She is the beloved wife of the late George Houseman.  Devoted mother of  Michael ( Darlene ), Thomas ( Kim ), Craig ( Lori ) and Dennis ( Trudy ).  Loving grandmom to 9 and greatgrandmom to 5 and a great great on the way . Dear sister of Charles Schneider ( Ramona ), Butch ( Irene ), Mark Schneider ( Geri ), Bill Schneider ( Geri ), Donna Flaherty ( the late Pat ) and the late Hank, Joseph Malloy ( Diane ), Kathleen Johnson ( Raymond ) and Margaret Johnson ( the late Joe ). Sadly missed by her many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to her Service of Christian Burial, Monday , February 25, 2019, at 11 AM , in the McELVARR FUNERAL HOME, 1415-17 East Susquehanna Avenue, Fishtown.   Viewing Sunday eve 7-9 PM and Monday after 9:30 AM, in the funeral home. Burial North Cedar Hill Cemetery.
