Stephen T. McElvarr

Steve was born in Fitzgerald Mercy Hospital, Darby, Pa.  on January 7, 1952, to the late William J. and Dolores Fili McElvarr.  He is survived by his siblings  Larry, of Philadelphia, and Tina ( Lori Nonnemaker ) of Morton. He will be sadly missed by his three generations of cousins, many friends in Pinelake Village, Jensen Beach, FL. where he lived for the past few years,  and his devoted caregiver Marge Sullivan McGonigle.  Steve went to be with Mom and Dad on the morning of December 17, after a courageous one year battle against cancer. 

Because of Steve and his obsession with Family Ancestry, we all know who our great great grandparents , who was married to whom, where they were born  and most times , where they are buried ( and all the other skeletons in our families closet ) .

Steve graduated from St. Francis de Sales Elementary, St. James High School class of 1969 and received his Bachelor of Education  from Penn State University.  He was a 5th grade teacher at Boothwyn Elementary for his entire 30+ year career.

His Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday , December 22, 2018 at 10:30 AM, in St. Thomas, the Apostle Church, 430 Valleybrook Road, Glen Mills, Pa.  19342,  where is viewing will begin at 9 AM. 

Interment will follow at SS. Peter and Paul Cemetery, Springfield, Pa.
