Albert L. Hamilton Jr., age 67, passed away at home on September 22, 2022, surrounded by his loving family. He is the beloved husband of Annamarie (nee Heary). Devoted father of Albert McKenna-Hamilton, Donna Marie Hamilton, and Amanda Marie Harrity (Bernard "Beamer"). Loving Pop to Emily, Francis, Alana, Cullen, and Bentley. Dear brother of Mary Ann Ledger (Joseph), Michael Hamilton (Dawn), Richard Hamilton, Albert Hamilton "Jersey Al", and brother in law of Edward Heary, Michael Heary, and Maureen DeOrio. Cherished uncle of Eddie, Theresa, Jen, Michael, Steven, Deena, Desiree, Ryan, Dawn, Danielle, Joey, Billy, Patrick, Karen, and Richard.
Albert was born and raised in the Fishtown neighborhood of Philadelphia and was very proud of where he came from. Albert enjoyed fishing, going to JR's bar for a beer with his friends, and listening to Motown. He was also an avid Philadelphia Eagles fan. More than anything, Albert enjoyed his time spent with his family. He cherished his wife, children, and especially his grandkids. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing and funeral Sunday September 25, 2022 beginning at 10:30am in the McElvarr Funeral Home 1415-17 East Susquehanna Ave. Philadelphia PA 19125 (Fishtown). Prayers and Words of Remembrance at 12pm.
