Obituary
Albert Rue Johnson was born in Philadelphia to the late Frank and Theresa "Tess" Veneziale Johnson. Al had been a Detective with the Philadelphia Police Department from the early 60's to the early 80's.
He served in the United States Army after his time with the Police Department. He had quite an illustrious career. While on active duty he received the Purple Heart, a Bronze Star and many awards with Oak Leaf Clusters. When he came off active duty he served as a recruitment office for many years. He retired in the early 90's .
He is the husband of Elsie Elwell Johnson and the late Mildred Foley Johnson. Father of Patricia A. Burgess (Bruce) and Albert J. Johnson. Grandfather of Matthew, Kelly Marie, Amber and Jessica, Great grandfather of Regina. Brother of the late Donald, Murrell, Richard and Francis.
