Anna "Nancy" M. (Young) Reilly

Anna M. Reilly "Nancy" (nee Young) passed away on September 18, 2021. She is the beloved wife of Ron J. Reilly. Devoted mother of Ron Reilly (Laurie), Sharon McCloskey (Timothy) and Kevin Reilly. Loving Nani and Nini of Shane Reilly, Brigid Reilly, Timothy McCloskey, and Grace Reilly. 
 

Nancy, “Nani” or “Nini” to her grandchildren, loved her family with her whole heart. She pushed her children, Ronnie, Sharon, and Kevin to be their best and loved them for and supported them through their achievements, shortcomings, and everything in between. The love she had for her children was magnified and evolved into pure adoration when her grandchildren, Shane, Brigid, Timmy, and Grace came into the world. She was known to make their favorite foods when they’d visit, to stand smiling and waving goodbye as her husband Ron pretended to race their car on foot as it drove away, and to make sure her children knew that the grandkids were NEVER wrong and NEVER too spoiled. She loved them unconditionally and that love was returned wholeheartedly. That unconditional love didn’t form out of thin air. Nancy was raised by her grandparents, who she called Mommy and Pop. They taught her how to love and devote herself to her family. She worked her whole life to make her family’s life better and that love and devotion was passed down to her children and their families. The next thing she loved nearly as much as her family was going down the shore. She spent the latter years of her life peacefully with her husband in a condo by the ocean, treating her grandchildren to breakfast at the Star Diner and enjoying all of those Wildwood Days. She and her husband Ron met in Wildwood and enjoyed the sun and the sand most of their life. Bingo came in a close third, as she enjoyed her Sunday night bingo at St. Anne’s. Although the last few years weren’t always the easiest, her memories and love were reflected and radiated by her family until the very end. She will be ferociously and dearly missed.

Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing and funeral Thursday September 23, 2021 beginning at 9:30am in St. Anne Church (upper) 2328 East Lehigh Ave. Philadelphia PA 19125. Funeral Mass 10:30am. Private interment will take place at a later date.
