Anne Marie Townsend (nee Longbottom) passed away suddenly on March 21, 2020, at the age of 52. She is the beloved wife of Walter "Sam". Devoted mother of Tiffany, Stacey, and the late Lori. Loving Mom Mom of Harmony. Dear sister of Bridget Mullins, Joanne Zaarczuk, Kelly Longbottom, Sean Longbottom, Shannon Galazka, Joseph Baird, and the late Patrick, Mary, and Colleen Longbottom. Sadly missed by her nieces and nephews and her many dear friends.  Anne was born to John and Anne (nee Flaherty) Longbottom and was raised in the Kensington neighborhood of Philadelphia. She and her family were members of Visitation B.V.M parish and this is where she developed her faith and love of our Lord.  Anne will be remembered for her love and devotion to her family. Her kids were everything to her and this continued on to her granddaughter. She would do anything for her and would never tell her "no". She loved her time working as an operator for a hospital and knew how important her job was to be kind to people. That came easy to her. She loved to help people, even if that meant she would go without. She was also a social person who loved to talk to everyone and anyone. The world is truly a better place because Anne was a part of it. She will be sadly missed by all those who knew and loved her. 

Relatives and friends are invited to gather and celebrate her life Thursday July 16, 2020 beginning at 10am in Visitation BVM Church 300 E. Lehigh Ave. Philadelphia PA 19125. Her funeral mass will begin at 11am. Due to the current health crisis surrounding Covid-19 please wear face masks and adhere to social distancing in the church.
