Anthony M. Flego

It is with profound sadness that the family of Anthony Michael Flego, age 50, announces his sudden passing on June 4, 2025. He was born in Philadelphia, PA on December 17,1974 and was a lifelong resident of the Port Richmond section of the city. He was the devoted father of Gianna and Gabriella. Cherished son of Lino (Shelly) and the late Celeste (nee Grzesnikowski). Sadly missed by his furbaby Kevin and his many aunts, uncles, and cousins. 

A big kid at heart, Anthony had a way of connecting with everyone. He could strike up a conversation with anyone and was always quick with a joke or story. He had a special love for his sneakers and wore them with pride.

More than anything, Anthony loved his family—especially his daughters. He gave them his time and his whole heart: riding bikes through the city, playing catch in the park, visiting Penn’s Landing and the Columbus Flea Market with them and his father. He looked forward to family trips to Knoebels and Wildwood, and never missed the Thanksgiving Day Parade or Mummers Parade, both cherished traditions.

Anthony was proud to pass down the traditions he learned from his parents—small moments, big adventures, and a strong sense of family that will live on through his children.

Through every twist and turn in life, Anthony never stopped giving his love, his laughter, and his adventurous spirit to those he cared about most. He will be greatly missed by all those who knew him. His family takes comfort that he is being reunited in heaven with his mom, who was his best friend.

Relatives and friends are invited to his visitation and funeral Saturday June 14, 2025 beginning at 10am in the Hubert M. McBride Funeral Home 2357 East Cumberland Street Philadelphia, PA 19125. Funeral service to follow at 11:30am.
