Anthony "AJ" James Klancic

Anthony James Klancic "AJ" passed away on July 27, 2025 at the age of 47. He is the loving father of Ryan (Sabia) and Jared (Erin). Beloved son of Jean (nee Miller) and the late Anthony "Tony". Dear brother of James "Jimmy" and Nicole Rhoades (Kenny) and uncle of Shane, Cole, Wyatt, Logan, and the late Chase. Cherished nephew and godson of Frankie Rucki (the late Murph). Sadly missed by his furbaby Lincoln, his extended family, and his friends. 

AJ was a lifelong resident of Fishtown, where he built deep roots and lasting connections within the community. He attended St. Laurentius School and graduated from North Catholic High School for Boys, Class of 1996. Known for his outgoing personality, AJ brought joy to those in his life. He was a gifted artist, often expressing himself through drawing. A devoted Philadelphia sports fan, AJ was the go-to sports historian, with an incredible memory for statistics and team history. He will be greatly missed but his family takes comfort that he is at peace and reunited with his dad and nephew. 

Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing and funeral Thursday July 31, 2025 beginning at 10:30am in the McElvarr Funeral Home 1415-17 East Susquehanna Ave. Philadelphia, PA 19125 (Fishtown), followed by his funeral service at 12pm.
