Barbara (Sinese) McManus

Barbara McManus (née Sinese) passed away on January 4, 2021 at the age of 73. Devoted   mother of Barbara Gill (John), Debra McManus (David), Frank Dender (Christine), and Terry McManus (Brad). Loving Grammy of Thomas, Mark, Eric, Ryan, Matthew, Erin, Jessica, Caleb, Hailey, Faith, Brianna, Bianca, Christopher, Keaganne, Gage, and the late Gary and Gabriel.  Adoring GG of Katelyn, Madison, Alex, Payton, Karleigh, Montana, Gavin, Skylar, Jace, and Wesley. Dear sister of Walt Sinese and Pat Kirby (Charles). Sadly missed by her nieces and nephews. 

Barbara was born to the late Thomas Sinese and Dorothy Eisler Sinese. She attended Kensington High School and also continued her education to be a nursing assistant. She raised her children in the Fishtown section of the city and worked as a bartender in many different taverns in the area. Barb loved the beach, her campground and fishing and loved to share these times with her family. They will remember her as the most giving and kind hearted person who would give anything to anyone in need. She was the matriarch of her loving family and they will miss her tremendously. 

Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing and funeral Saturday January 16, 2021 from 11am-12:30pm in the Hubert M. McBride Funeral Home 2357 East Cumberland Street Philadelphia PA 19125. Her funeral service will be private for the family due to occupancy restrictions in the funeral home. We ask that everyone attending services wear a mask, maintain social distancing, and refrain from attending if you are experiencing any symptoms of COVID-19.
