It is with profound sadness that the family of Caitlin E. Cromley "Cait" announces her sudden and tragic passing on May 22, 2026, at the age of 22. Cait was born in Philadelphia on June 20, 2003.
Cait was a sweet and loving girl who enjoyed country music, traveling — especially trips to the shore — and all things girly, from shopping and fashion to having her hair, nails, and lashes done. She always loved looking her best and carried herself with beauty and grace.
Yet as beautiful as she was on the outside, it was her heart that truly made her unforgettable. She loved deeply and shared an especially close bond with her siblings, particularly her sisters. She was a devoted aunt who absolutely adored her cats and cherished the people she loved most.
To her mother, she was “Little Lamb Chop” and to her father, “Boo Boo” — nicknames that reflected the deep love she brought to her family. Cait was compassionate, empathetic, and always willing to help others, often putting everyone else before herself. She was truly a wonderful daughter, sister, aunt, and friend whose love and kindness will be missed beyond words.
Caitlin is the beloved daughter of George Cromley and Colleen (Rooney) and Jeffrey Martin. Devoted cat mommy to her fur babies Allie, Jasper, and Willow. Dear sister of Andrew Cromley, Raymond Cromley, Christine Cromley, Laura Cromley, and Kelsey Rooney. Loving aunt of Brianna Cromley, Cadeyn Cromley, Christopher Cooper, Marissa Cooper, Jovanni Galindez, Leon Vargas, Nathan Vargas, Aaliyah Vargas, Jacob Rodriguez III, and great aunt to Julian, Ezralyn, and Elianna Vargas. Sadly missed by her aunts Dawn Barrett (Frank) and Katherine Marr and her many cousins and relatives.
Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing and funeral Tuesday June 2, 2026 beginning at 6pm in the Hubert M. McBride Funeral Home 2357 East Cumberland Street Philadelphia, PA 19125, followed by her funeral service at 7:30pm. As the family navigates this difficult loss, donations towards her final expenses would be sincerely appreciated and the family appreciates the kindness, support, and compassion during this time.
