Carl was born in Philadelphia to the late Carl W. Sr and Christine Lawson. He passed away in Einstein Medical Center after a very brief illness of only two months.
Has was raised on Hewson Street and attended Holy Name School. He had worked for the former Atlas Casket Company, in Port Richmond. Carl was an animal lover, and was known to take in strays , nurse then to health and end up keeping them. Carl was extremely devoted to his mother.
He was an all around handy man according to his cousin, Tom Wible, when Carl started a job he worked on it non-stop, day and night until it was finished.
He is survived by his sisters, Christine O'Shaughnessy ( James ) and Dorothy Tomzack (Stanley). Sadly missed by his many nieces and nephews.
His Funeral Mass will be at Holy Name of Jesus Parish, 701 East Gaul Street, Fishtown, on Friday June 28, 2019 at 10:30 AM, where friends may gather to remember and celebrate his life at 9:30 AM.
