Carlos A. Merced “Page”

Carlos Alberto Merced "Page" was called to heaven on January 18, 2023 at the age of 56. He was born on July 28, 1966 in Agua Buenas, Puerto Rico to Jorge Merced and the late Rosa "Tata" Rodriguez. 

Page is the beloved husband of Latisha Wilson Merced. Devoted father to Eric Merced, Shaina Merced, and Elisia Merced. Loving Pop-Pop of Kailen Rose, John Morales, and Josh Gonzalez. Dear brother of Melissa Merced, Rey Santiago, Jacqueline Flecha, Victor Rodriguez, and Jon Santiago. Sadly missed by his many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins. 

The beloved patriarch was a "backbone" for so many. His greatest joy in life was his family and time spent with them. He called everything as he saw it and held no punches. He gave the best unsolicited advice and if you were smart, you would listen to him. His witty sense of humor, no-nonsense delivery, and common-sense approach will resonate and warm the hearts of his family for generations to come. He was the perfect sounding board to inspire his families’ youth. He will continue to guide and lift the hearts of many.

Page wasn’t afraid to dream big. He approached each day with tenacity and grit. He made the absolute most of every moment of his life and didn’t waste any time with excuses. To his people, Page was a philosopher, a provider, a teacher, a prophet and a natural born leader. His legacy will be cherished, and his memory will be honored.

Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing and funeral Wednesday January 25, 2023 beginning at 4pm in the McElvarr Funeral Home 1415-17 East Susquehanna Ave. Philadelphia,PA 19125. Prayers and words of remembrance will begin at 6pm
