Carolee "Carol" (Nefferdorf) Sweeney

Carolee Sweeney "Carol" (nee Nefferdorf) passed away on February 19, 2022 at the age of 66. She is the beloved wife of the late Andrew T. Sweeney. Devoted mother of Andrea Dawson (Tommy) and Steven Sweeney.  Loving Gammy to Andrew, Makayla, and Adriana. Dear sister of Joyce Sinnott (late Joseph), Susan Zerfing (Richard "Dick"), Evelyn Weissman, Bruce Nefferdorf (Carmel), and William Nefferdorf (Sandra). Sadly missed by her many nieces and nephews. 

Carol was born to the late William and Elizabeth (nee Dougherty) Nefferdorf. She was raised in the Fishtown section of Philadelphia and remained there throughout her life. She was a faithful member of Holy Name of Jesus Parish. Carol's greatest joy came from her family, especially her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed taking her kids on trips to the shore and to Virginia and taking her grandkids to the playground. Carol will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. Her family is comforted in knowing that she will be reunited in heaven with her parents and her beloved husband Andy. 

Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing and funeral Wednesday March 2, 2022 beginning at 9:30am in the McElvarr Funeral Home 1415-17 East Susquehanna Ave. Philadelphia PA 19125 (Fishtown). Funeral service 11:15am. Interment 1pm in Washington Crossing National Cemetery.
