Catherine M. (Streeter) Dunson

Catherine M. Dunson (nee Streeter) passed away on Decmeber 12, 2020 at the age of 73. She is the beloved wife of George. Devoted mother of George Jr. and Eric (Carol). Loving Granny of Daniel, Aubrie, Dean, Timmy, Eric, Troy and GG of Keegan. Dear sister of Dennis Streeter (Kathleen). Predeceased by many brothers and sisters. Sadly missed by her many nieces and nephews and their families.

Cathy was born to the late William Streeter and May Phillips Streeter. She was raised in the Kensington section of Philadelphia and remained here to raise her own family. She worked hard as a legal secretary and had worked for over 25 years for Black and Older law firm. She was perfect for this job as she was very organized and knowledgeable in this field. Cathy was the President of the Pennsylvania Doves for over 40 years and loved to plan trips and events with this group and also her couples friend group. Her greatest joy came from being with her family. She would do anything for them, and as the matriarch, was the glue that held the family together and the "strongest woman they know". She loved to plan the family picnics and trips and also the holidays, especially Christmas. In order to make sure she could host Christmas, she would often move hers to another date to accommodate the family and make sure they could all be there. She will be tremendously missed by all who knew and loved her. 

Due to the pandemis, Covid-19 there are no services planned at this time. The family will announce a date for the memorial service for a time when they can honor her life with everyone present. This website will be updated at that time.
