On Tuesday, April 27, 2021 Catherine passed away peacefully in her sleep with her granddaughter by her side.
She was born on December 7, 1939 to the late Dorothy Moore and William Hendrickson. Being one of five children Catherine always aspired to be a homemaker and a loving and devoted mother.
She was one of a kind with a heart of gold and always made sure everyone was taken care of. Catherine was a huge presence in everyone’s life and she knew how to make people laugh. Catherine was a tough, sassy, active lady who always spoke her mind and was not one to bite her tongue.
As much as she loved getting a good deal at a flea market or a yard sale she also loved taking a chance at the casino. In the words of Kenny Rogers she knew when to hold ‘em and when to fold ‘em.
Catherine is preceded in death by her two sisters Marge and Dot. Her three children Robert, Patricia and Edward and grandson Michael.
She is survived by her brother Bill and sister Joan. Along by her two children Catherine Branyan and Michael Wilsey. Her son-in-law Robert Branyan. Also her five grandchildren Brittany, Heather, Alicia, Katelyn and Danielle. As well as her nine great grandchildren Brittany, Kyle, Jacob, Kaylee, Jace, Alannah, Avery, Emma and Hunter.
Services will be held at the Hubert M McBride funeral home at 2357 East Cumberland Street, Philadelphia, PA 19125 on May 15, 2021 from 1 PM to 3 PM. All relatives and friends are welcome to attend and celebrate Catherine’s life.
We ask that all those attending services wear a mask and maintain social distancing. Please expect wait times as there is an occupancy restriction in the funeral home due to Covid-19. Also, because the service will be limited, we have made outdoor accommodations in our courtyard for those wishing to stay for the service. Thank you for your cooperation and support of the family.
