Charles "Chalie" J. Devlin III

Charles J. Devlin III "Chalie" passed away unexpectedly on February 4, 2023 at the age of 55. He is the beloved husband of Kristine Rowen-Devlin. Devoted father of Brian Davis, Joseph Devlin (Taylor), Justine Devlin, his "best buddy" Charles "Chalie" Devlin IV, Michael Oberholtzer (Taylor), and Christopher Oberholtzer (Tara). Loving Pop-Pop of Sapphire, Lincoln, Cooper, and to his grandbaby on the way.  Dear brother of Brian (Stephanie), Patrick (Erin), and Kelly. Sadly missed by his nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins. 

Chalie was born to the late Charles and Charlotte (nee Bickel). He was raised in the Fishtown neighborhood of Philadelphia and was very proud of his roots. He worked tirelessly as a roofer and was very proud that he was able to build his business C&L Roofing from nothing into the successful business that it was.  Chalie was very generous and would give you the shirt off of his back if you needed it. He was a great provider and always took care of his family. 

In his downtime, Chalie enjoyed being outdoors, riding quads, or jetskiing on the river. More than anything he enjoyed being with family always made spending time with them his priority. He will be missed greatly by all those who loved him. 

Relatives and friends are invited to gather and celebrate Chalie's life on Saturday February 11, 2023 beginning at 9:30am in the McElvarr Funeral Home 1415-17 East Susquehanna Ave. Philadelphia, PA 19125 (Fishtown). Funeral service 11am. Chalie will then be laid to rest in Palmer Cemetery with his beloved mother.
