It is with profound sadness that the family of Charles J. Otto "Chuck" announces his passing on May 12, 2026 at the age of 69. He was born in Philadelphia to John and the late Janet (Konstanty) Corson.
Chuck spent most of his life in Philadelphia, primarily in the Port Richmond neighborhood, where he proudly raised his sons and built a life centered around family. In later years, he made his home in Runnemede, New Jersey.
Chuck graduated from Frankford High School before answering the call to serve his country by enlisting in the United States Army. As a proud member of the 82nd Airborne Division, he carried deep pride in his military service and in the lifelong brotherhood he shared with his fellow paratroopers, who always greeted one another with the words, “AATW — Airborne All the Way!”
Above all else, Chuck was a devoted family man who appreciated the simple things in life — sports, laughter, and time spent with those he loved most. Though naturally quiet and humble, he possessed a toughness that earned him the unforgettable nickname “Cement Hands.” Beneath that strength, however, was a loyal and caring man whose presence will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
In addition to his father John, Chuck is survived by his wife Robin (nee Ditro). He is the devoted father of Chuck Otto (Erin) and Christopher Otto (Sam). Loving grandfather of Madison, Brielle, Lucas, and Christopher. Dear brother of Janet Hicks and James Otto (Carol). Sadly missed by his nieces Dana and Jacqueline and his many other nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing and funeral Wednesday May 20, 2026 beginning at 9am in St. Anne Church 2328 East Lehigh Avenue Philadelphia, PA 19125, followed by his funeral mass at 11am. Interment private. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests memorial donations to the VFW Post 3324 600 N. Black Horse Pike Runnemede, NJ 08078
