Chrissy was born in Philadelphia to the late George and Catherine Seiler Gage. She passed away peacefully in Samaritan Hospice, Mt. Holly after a valiant battle with cancer. Born and raised in Kensington, she attended Nativity BVM Parish Elementary School and went on to Jules E. Mastbaum High School. After high school she started working for a metal stamping company in Torresdale and when they moved to the Northeast. She retired after 20 years plus service. Chrissy was somewhat the 'fashionista' in her apparel and home decor. She enjoyed playing cards games on her computer and was talented at arts and crafts, especially ceramics. As the oldest of 5 Chrissy was a mentor to the family.
She is the beloved wife of James V. Appling, dear sister of Cassie Pomroy (Jerry), Francis Gage, Janice Engel (Robert) and the late George Jr. Mother of the late Lisa Korman (Jason) and the late John Korman (Colleen). Grandmom of Kaylie and Jenica Korman. She will be missed by her sisters in law Debbie and Sharon and her many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to gather and remember Chrissy, on Friday January 24, 2025 beginning at 9 AM in St. Anne Church (Upper) 2328 East Lehigh Avenue. Funeral Mass will begin at 10:30 AM
