Christopher Hainey III passed away at home on February 11, 2025 after a valiant battle with cancer. His loving family was by his side.
Chris was raised in the Kensington section of Philadelphia and lived there until relocating to Delaware county. He was a kind and loyal person who would do anything for anyone, whether it was repairing something around the house or fixing a car.
Chris loved cars, especially classic cars, and spent countless hours working on his, a task his family would say was never actually completed. He enjoyed riding his Harley and taught his son to ride not long before he passed. Chris was also an avid music fan and was a talented drummer.
He is the beloved son of Lily (nee Shaw) and the late Christopher Hainey. Devoted father of Christopher G. Hainey IV and Brittany DeVito (Marco). Loving Pop to Christopher Hainey V. Cherished brother of Jeanette Mahoney, Heather Cordell, Lily Hainey (Tim Falcone) and the late Gordon Hainey. Dear uncle of Brittany, Bonnie, Jonathan, Heather, and Samantha. Also survived by great nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing and funeral Monday February 17, 2025 beginning at 9:30am in the Hubert M. McBride Funeral 2357 East Cumberland Street Philadelphia PA 19125, followed by his funeral service at 11am. Interment North Cedar Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests and appreciates contributions towards his final expenses.
