Christopher "Louie" Maguire Obituary

Christopher Maguire "Louie" passed away on September 5, 2022 at the age of 59. He is the beloved son of the late Thomas and Alberta "Babe" (nee Ulmer) Maguire. Dear brother of Thomas Maguire (Kathy), Rosie Maguire (Ralph Conte), and Samantha Cianciotti (Vince). Loving uncle to Thomas III, Gregory (Jen), Gabrielle, Alexandria, Kasey, Nicholas, Olivia, Vincent, Shawn, Ava, and great uncle to Adrianna, Molly, Bella, and Charlee. Sadly missed by his aunt Margo Ulmer, who was like a second mother, and also his many aunts, uncles, and cousins.  Louie, as he was known to mostly everyone who knew him, grew up in the Flat Iron section of Philadelphia. He was given the name Louie as a young boy by his father, but if you were talking to his mom or aunt Margo, he was being called "Chrissie". He attended St. Anne's and was a 1981 graduate of North Catholic. As a kid Louie, had the flattest feet out of the 4 Maguire children, but that never stopped him from trying to play any sport. He lived a life that was definitely never boring and usually had Tom, Babe & Margo on their toes. Years after he left Erie Avenue as a proud North boy, he decided to attend culinary school and became a chef. It was there that he found his knack in life.  Louie loved a good time and was filled with endless stories of the good times he had. On the night that he passed away, Tommy, Rosie, Sam, Margo and the kids all sat around telling stories to each other about the many adventures of Uncle Louie. The only tears in that room were from the belly laughs. Louie will be remembered for a lot of things. But the ones that stick out most are being the fun uncle with the vivacious laugh, always loving a good time, how he enjoyed running into people he grew up with and his Thanksgiving mashed potatoes. His siblings take solace in knowing that "Chrissie" is back with their parents, where he was always most content and happiest.  Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing and funeral Monday September 12, 2022 from 8:30-10:15am in St. Anne Church (lower) 2328 East Lehigh Ave. Philadelphia PA 19125. Funeral Mass 10:30am. Interment Oakland Cemetery.
