It is with profound sadness that the family of Danielle M. Dougherty announces her passing on November 30, 2025, after a long and courageous fight to regain her health. She was born in Philadelphia on July 12, 1978 and lived for most of her life in the Fishtown section of the city.
Danielle was a graduate of John W. Hallahan High School for Girls, from which she graduated Class of 1996. She deeply loved her children—nearly as much as she adored her beloved fur babies—and treasured every moment spent with them. She especially cherished their bubble tea dates and their shared love of live music, attending concerts ranging from Elton John to Panic! at the Disco, and most of all, Twenty One Pilots.
Fierce, funny, and full of spirit, Danielle was artistic and crafty, with an unmistakable love for all things pink. She found joy in life’s simple pleasures, whether indulging her sweet tooth or immersing herself in the Twilight series—where she remained a devoted Team Edward fan. She also enjoyed retail therapy, and the Fashion District was her favorite place to unwind and express her unique style.
Danielle’s vibrant personality, creativity, and the love she poured into her family will be forever remembered and deeply missed.
Danielle is the beloved daughter of Mary (nee Schindle) and the late David G. Dougherty. Devoted mother to Madison Gustin (Michael) and Allison Gustin. Dear sister of David (Meghan) and Matthew (Kelly). Loving aunt to Ayden and Kinsley. Cherished granddaughter of Joan Dougherty and the late Barbara and David Schindle. Sadly missed by fur babies Zoey, Daisy, Angel, Tilton, and also her aunts, uncles, cousins, and many friends.
Relatives and friends are invited to gather and celebrate her life Sunday December 7, 2025 beginning at 10am in the Hubert M. McBride Funeral Home 2357 East Cumberland Street Philadelphia, PA 19125. Prayers and words of remembrance will begin at 11:30am.
