Obituary

Darren Morgan, of Langhorne, passed away unexpectedly at home on July 9, 2023, at the age of 57. He is the cherished and devoted husband of Julie (nee Acosta). Loving father of Melissa Feliciano, Alquimides Merced, and Darren Morgan. The absolute best Pop-Pop to Robert Darren Torres and Oceana Merced. Dear brother of Daniel Morgan (Sharon) and the late Russell Morgan (late Marge) and William Morgan (Shirley). Sadly missed by his Uncle Knobby, his Aunt Kate and the entire Morgan, Flynn, and Falcon families.

Darren was born in Philadelphia to the late Russell and Marie (nee Flynn) Morgan. He was raised in the Kensington section of Philadelphia, in the neighborhood fondly known as "Flatiron" to those who lived there. He attended St. Anne School and then North Catholic High School. Darren worked as a roofer where he eventually owned and operated his own roofing company with his wife. Darren was very successful because he ran his business just as he lived his life...with honor, integrity, and respect for his workers, clients, and associates. Darren was truly a "Man's Man" who worked hard and always took care of those he loved.

When he was not working, Darren enjoyed being outdoors, especially near a beach, where he enjoyed dining outdoors and people watching. He loved to travel with his wife, taking trips on his motorcycle or in the family RV. Darren also enjoyed a good BBQ at home and you would always find him cooking on the grill. Darren loved to be surrounded by those he loved and considered himself to be the richest man, not because of material things, but because of the love he shared with the people in his life, especially his wife, children, and grandchildren. He will be forever loved and missed by all those who knew and loved him.

Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing Friday from 7-9pm in the Hubert M. McBride Funeral Home 2357 East Cumberland Street Philadelphia, PA 19125 and Saturday from 9-10:15am in St. Anne Church (lower) 2328 East Lehigh Ave. Philadelphia, PA 19125. Funeral Mass 10:30am.
