Deborah "Debbie" McCloskey Obituary
Deborah A. McCloskey "Debbie " "Peanut" passed away unexpectedly at home on November 25, 2022, at the age of 56. She is the beloved daughter of Charles McCloskey (Dorothy) and Dolores Borschell (late Bill). Devoted mother of Robert W. McDermott III, Devin Simpson, and the late Jennifer Lynn McDermott. Loving life partner of the late Robert W. McDermott Jr. and James Fullerton. Dear sister of Billy Jo "Cookie", Wendy, Eric, Chucky, Jackie, Joey, and the late Charles "Dinky", Tony, and Tricia. Sadly missed by her many nieces and nephews.
Debbie was born and raised in the Kensington section of Philadelphia and remained there throughout her life. She was strong, compassionate, independent, and because of this she was everyone's "go to" person. Debbie was there for everyone at anytime...even if she was late, which was most of the time :) She also had a love for animals, especially her cats, and was known to feed any that crossed her path. She would make sure they had food, even before herself. Debbie will be missed deeply by those she knew and loved, especially her family. They take comfort in the fact that she is being reunited with her family members who have gone before her.
Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing and funeral Wednesday December 7, 2022 from 6-8pm in the Hubert M. McBride Funeral Home 2357 East Cumberland Street Philadelphia PA 19125. Funeral service 7:30pm.
