Denise M. Mumper-Ramirez

Denise M. Mumper-Ramirez passed away at home on November 15, 2025 after a valiant battle with cancer. She was born in Philadelphia to the late John Mumper and Shirley (nee Stein) D'Aulerio. 

Denise is the beloved life partner of Sotirios Loukeas. Loving mother of Jonathan Bryen and grandmother of Isaiah and Rena. Dear sister of Deborah T. Lombo and Donna M. Corvino. Cherished aunt of Kimberly Lombo, Lisa Lombo, Franco Corvino and great aunt of Chris, Jada, Lorenzo, Niah, Giovanni, Asia, Luca, and Enzo. Sadly missed by her best friend Robin Schimpf and her caregiver Shannon Schimpf who provided exceptional care for Denise.

Denise worked for many years as an optician with Visionworks and later America’s Best. She truly loved her work and approached it with dedication and pride. She cared deeply for the people in her life and adored animals.

A free spirit, Denise lived life to the fullest and always on her own terms. She embraced each day with enthusiasm and a genuine love for life. Even when she became ill, she faced every challenge with remarkable courage and strength.

Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing and funeral Thursday November 20, 2025 beginning at 11am in the McElvarr Funeral Home 1415-17 East Susquehanna Ave. Philadelphia, PA 19125 (Fishtown), followed by her funeral service at 1pm. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests memorial contributions to Le Cat Cafe 2713 W. Girard Ave. Philadelphia, PA 19130.
