Diana Sproul, born July 29, 1955, passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 28, 2025. Affectionately known as "Dydee"
She was preceded in death by her parents, Harry and May Redman, and her beloved son, James Redman, whom she carried in her heart every day.
Diana was a devoted daughter who selflessly cared for her mother for many years during illness, a role she fulfilled with strength, loyalty, and unwavering love. Family meant everything to Diana she loved fiercely and deeply, even through life’s challenges.
She lived life exactly the way she chose, and no one could ever change her fiery spirit. Diana was a devoted Philadelphia Phillies fan, loved Elvis Presley, and always enjoyed a Pepsi. Her strong will, bold personality, and deep loyalty to those she loved defined her life.
In the words of Frank Sinatra, Diana truly did it her way.
She is survived by her brothers and sisters and 2 generations of nieces and nephews and extended family who will forever cherish her strength, devotion, and unforgettable spirit.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Monday, January 5, 2025, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Hubert M. McBride Funeral Home, 2357 E. Cumberland Street, Philadelphia, PA 19125. Prayers and Words of Remembrance will be at 7 PM
