Dolores "Dolly" Lewandowski Obituary
Dolores Louise Lewandowski "Dolly" (nee McNamee) passed away on October 17, 2022 at the age of 75. She is the beloved wife of the late William S. Lewandowski "Bill". Devoted mother of Dolores Fowler (Nunzio), Nancy Flynn (Thomas), William Lewandowski, Bethann "Pepper" Sells (Adam), Dawn Daly (Patrick), and the late Lisa Lewandowski. Loving Grandmom to Joey, Sean, Liana, Tommy, Billy, Jack, Nicky, Patrick, Nicky M., Brayden, Sebastian, the late Grace, and Great Grandmom to Joey, Julian, Jordan, and the late Bella. Dear sister of Loretta Mucci (Frank), Joseph McNamee (Jane), and the late Hugh McNamee (Claire) and James McNamee. Sadly missed by her best friend Rose Boras and her nieces and nephews.
Dolly was born to the late Hugh and Loretta (nee Devlin) McNamee. She was raised in the Kensington section of Philadelphia, in the very home where she would later raise her own children. She was a lifelong parishioner of Visitation BVM and always remained close to her faith. Dolly was devoted to her family and made sure that they always stayed close to each other. She loved her time spent with them more than anything, whether it was gathering for holidays, trips to Wildwood, or watching her favorite ghost shows on the TV with them. She also opened her home to her children's friends if they needed a place to sit, something to eat or a listening ear. She gave her loving advice, even when it might not be what they wanted to hear. Dolly was truly "everyone's mom". She will be greatly missed by her family. They take comfort that she is being reunited in heaven with her family members who have gone before her.
Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing and funeral Monday October 24, 2022 beginning at 6pm in the Hubert M. McBride Funeral Home 2357 East Cumberland Street Philadelphia, PA 19125. Funeral service 7:30pm. Interment Tuesday October 25, 2022 at 10am in Washing ton Crossing National Cemetery 830 Highland Ave. Newtown, PA 18940. A funeral procession will form outside of the funeral home and will leave promptly at 8:45am for those who wish to follow the procession.
