Dolores L. Davalos “Lori” (nee Neville), age 73, passed away on April 19, 2026 with her loving family by her side. She was born on January 11, 1953 to the late John and Viola (nee Biddle) Neville and was a lifelong resident of the Kensington section of the city.
Dolores enjoyed the simple pleasures in life—working on crossword puzzles, dining out, trying her luck at the casino, and traveling, especially to Tennessee. Above all, she cherished the time she spent with her family, who meant everything to her.
She was known for telling it like it was, always ready with a quick comeback and a playful roast that could leave anyone laughing. Dolores had a strong, no-nonsense personality, but beneath that tough exterior was a kind and generous heart. She was deeply devoted to her family and showed her love through her loyalty, strength, and unwavering presence in their lives.
Dolores is the devoted mother of Deborah (Michael Williams), Stephen (Debra Kulb Davalos), John (Mickey D’Agostino), Lisa, Donald, Robert, Jeffrey, Evelyn (Michael Maldanado), Tiffany (Elijah Garcia), and the late Joseph, Thomas, Scott, and Tammy. Loving Granny Bird of Shannon (Mike), Brittany (Kevin), Stephanie (Patrick), Stephen (Jessica), Ashley (Chuck), Destiny (Anthony), Darren (Kerri), James (Brittany), Ryan, Christopher (Devin), Bobby, Big Johnny, Joey, Jacob, Josh, Lil Donald, Brianna, Tyler, Scotty, Daniella, Nathan, Ava, Seranity, Elijah, Miranda, Nicholas, Aubrey, Erica (James), Makayla, Selena, Brayden, Addison, Zaleigh, and her many great grandchildren. Dear sister of Donna Coleman (late Ron), Robert Neville (Nancy), and the late Jackie Neville, Thomas Neville, Peggy Neville, Harry Neville, and Evelyn Plitt. Sadly missed by her nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing and funeral Friday April 24, 2026 beginning at 6pm in the Hubert M. McBride Funeral Home 2357 East Cumberland Street Philadelphia, PA 19125, followed by prayers and words of remembrance at 7:30pm.
