Dolores “Lorie” Cohill-Kennedy Obituary

Dolores E. Cohill-Kennedy “Lorie” (née Deegan) passed away on August 14, 2020. She was 57 years old. Lorie is the beloved wife of 13 years to Daniel L. Kennedy. Devoted mother to Taralynn Cohill and the late William “Billy” Cohill. Loving Nanny to Tommy, Will, Anthony, Shawn, and Abbygail. Dear sister of Joseph and Brian (Carol) Deegan. Sadly missed by nieces and nephews.
Lorie was born to the late Joseph and Dolores Deegan, was raised in the East Kensington neighborhood in Philadelphia and remained here while raising her own children and working in the banking industry. Dolores fought cancer for 30 years and never gave up or complained when things got tough. She met her husband Daniel 16 years ago and they enjoyed a good life together. She loved Elvis, butterflies, and angels and is described as an “angel on earth” who would do anything for anyone, especially those she loved. She will be sadly missed but her family takes comfort in knowing that she is reunited with her loved ones in heaven.
Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing and funeral Thursday August 20, 2020 beginning at 10am in the Hubert M. McBride Funeral Home 2357 East Cumberland Street Philadelphia PA 19125. Funeral service 11am. Interment Magnolia Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests memorial contributions to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

We ask that all those attending the services wear masks, maintain social distancing and expect wait times due to occupancy restrictions during the Covid-19 pandemic.
