Donna Hyduk Obituary

Donna Hyduk passed away June 30, 2021 at home surrounded by her loving family. She earned her angel wings after fighting a courageous battle with cancer.  She is the beloved wife of the late Francis “Frank” Hyduk. Devoted mother to Erica Strunk Pulaski (Jason), Frank Hyduk (Maureen), and Suzy Walsh-Scheidegg (Charles). Loving Grandmom of Frank, Matthew, Joshua and Auntie Granny of Ashley and Brailyn. Cherished daughter of Joan and Louis Boharsik. Dear sister of Tina Stieber, Jennifer Cooper (Henry), Laura Espinosa (Guillermo “Papo”) and the late Brien Stieber. Loving aunt to Vincent Mccandless, Joan Stieber. Amanda Griffin, Kianna Pizarro, Andrew Cooper, Dylan Cooper, Ryan Cooper, Jayden Cooper, Janessa Espinosa, and Saleena Espinosa.  Loving godmother to Joan Stieber and Gianna Stieber. Loving niece of Dennis Rowan (Michelle), Christine Camp, Ruth Mulholland Thomas Stieber (Patricia) and the late Raymond Stieber. Goddaughter of Christine Appling and Melvin Norbeck. Predeceased by her grandparents Mary and Andrew Zelinka and Georgianna and Raymond Stieber.

Donna grew up in the Fishtown area.  She went to elementary school at St. Anne’s Catholic School and later on received her GED.  For the past 25 years, Donna worked at Somerton Center starting out as a receptionist and working her way up as a unit clerk, even working through the pandemic as a CNA. Donna loved her job so much and her co-workers even became family to her. Even with Donna’s illness it still never stopped her, she still wanted to volunteer her time at the center because she loved her residents and missed her co-workers so much. Donna lived her life to the fullest each and everyday. She got to escort her daughter Erica down the aisle at her wedding and even see her beloved granddaughters go to their first day of school. Donna loved being a grandmother more than anything to three wonderful boys and being the auntie/granny to the two girls. She loved to spoil each and everyone of them. Donna loved spending her time down the shore at her parent’s house or Uncle Tommy’s house especially going to Rio Grande Diner for their French onion soup which she loved. Donna will be remembered for being the sweetest, kindest, strongest and the most selfless person-always ready to help anyone who needed it and always with a smile on her face.
