Donna was born in Philadelphia to the late Gerald and Blanche Szydlowski Walsh. She passed away in Ocoee, Florida surrounded by her loving family, after a valiant battle with cancer. Born and raised at Amber and Susquehanna, she attended and graduated from St. Boniface Elementary School and their Business school in 1970. She met and married her husband Ed and moved to the Oxford Circle area. She had worked for a time for Scream Grafix Inc as a bookkeeper. She and Ed moved to Florida in 2004, where she was the bookkeeper for Polo Park Homeowners Association. She enjoyed the beach and travelling, especially cruising.
Donna was a devoted wife for over 50 years to Ed and an amazing mother to Tracy and Eddie. Tracy will always remember her for teaching her the importance of unconditional love. She was a loving grandmother to Eddie IV(Jamie), Emily, Johnny and Matthew, who will always remember the wonderful memories they made with their "Nonna". Even as a great grandmother to Gavin, she showered him with love each time she saw him. Donna always had a kind word or a hug when needed most. Her beautiful spirit will live on forever in our hearts.
She is sadly missed by her siblings: Kathy Foley (Mike), Mike Walsh (the late Donna) and the late Gerald (the late Helen). sadly, missed by her former daughter in law Lisa McCarthy.
Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing and to Celebrate her Life on Saturday, December 9, 2023, beginning at 10:30 AM followed by Prayers and Words of Remembrance at 12 Noon, in the McELVARR FUNERAL HOME, 1415-17 East Susquehanna Avenue, Fishtown. Donna will be laid to rest in a location where she is in sight of three of her favorite things, the beach, Cape Canaveral and cruise ships. She and Ed will be interred side by side in the Cape Canaveral National Cemetery, Florida.
