Dorothea “Dot” Louise Rucci Daly

December 6, 1951 – September 17, 2025

      With deep love and heartfelt sorrow, we announce the passing of Dorothea “Dot” Louise Rucci Daly, who left this world peacefully on September 17, 2025, to join her family in heaven- her late parents Gerald and Louise Rucci, her late brothers Charles, Wayne, Thomas and late sister Georgie. She was 73 years young—though to all who knew her, she’ll forever be 21 at heart.

      In 1967, fate brought late William “Woody” Dennis Daly and her together, and on March 1, 1969, they began a life full of love, laughter, and chaos. Together, they raised four spirited children: Billy, Darlene (John Wurzel), Donna (Michael Garrett), and Kimberly—each of whom inherited her fierce spirit, wicked humor, and boundless love.She is lovingly remembered by her grandchildren: Baby John, Kristen, Ashley, Kirsten, Sean, Brittany, Halie, Brandon, Megan, Michael, and Emily, along with many great-grandchildren and a crew of cherished fur babies. Every single one held a permanent spot in her oversized, loving heart.

      She leaves behind a legacy of laughter, love, music, and mischief. She taught us how to face life with strength and humor, and how to find joy even during the toughest times. Dot, Dottie Lou, Momma, Mom, Mum, Mom-Mom, Aunt Dot—whatever name you called her, you knew you were loved by her, fully and fiercely.

Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing and funeral Saturday September 27, 2025 beginning at 9am in the Hubert M. McBride Funeral Home 2357 East Cumberland Street Philadelphia, PA 19125, followed by her funeral service at 10:15am. Interment Our Lady of Grace Cemetery
