It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Edward F. Coll, who departed this life on September 15, 2025 at the age of 63. He was the beloved son of the late Harry and Sis (Delaney) Gohn. He was born and raised in Philadelphia, living most of his life in Port Richmond.
Ed was a devoted father to Samantha (Karl), Timothy and Lauren; a beloved friend to his former wife, Christine, and was a loving pop to Emily, Mason, Zoe and Henry.
He also leaves behind his brother, Harry Gohn (Evelyn), and their children Harry, Marie, Sandra and Joseph.
He was a loyal and hardworking employee, having worked as a welder for Septa for over 20 years. He enjoyed fishing, home renovations, gardening and spending time with his children and grandchildren. He enjoyed time with his cat, Jake.
His memory will forever be cherished by his family and friends.
Family and friends are invited to Gather and Celebrate his Life on Tuesday, September 23, 2025, beginning at 10:30 AM followed by Prayers and Words of Remembrance at 11:30 AM, in the McELVARR FUNERAL HOME, 1415-17 EAST SUSQUEHANNA AVE, FISHTOWN.
In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests donations be made in Ed’s name to the Salvation Army.
