Edwin "Mike" M. McGuigan

Edwin M. McGuigan "Mike" passed away at home on December 8, 2021. He was born in Philadelphia to the late Edwin P. and Rose (nee McCrane). Mike is the beloved husband of Denise (nee Chicirda). Devoted father of Michael T. (Heather) and Danielle D'Aquila (Joseph). Loving Poppy to Hannah, Marykate, Ben, and Joey. Dear brother of the late Francis and brother in law of Timothy and Florence Chicirda. Sadly missed by his nephews, their families, and his closest neighbors and friends both in Philadelphia and at the shore.

Mike was born and raised in the Harrowgate section of Philadelphia. He was a Teamster for 35 years and raised his family in Port Richmond. After retiring, Mike and Denise relocated full time to their home at the shore in the Villas, which he loved and where he spent his summers growing up.  He was a true Eagles and Phillies fan. He enjoyed his dogs Raven and Sullivan and fishing on his boats. More than anything, he loved grilling in his yard, especially for his family. His greatest joy came from time spent with his 4 grandkids. He will always be remembered for his infectious laugh and his smile and will be greatly missed by all those who had the pleasure of knowing him. 

Relatives and friends are invited to gather and celebrate his life Friday December 17,2021 beginning at 10am in the Hubert M. McBride Funeral Home 2357 East Cumberland Street Philadelphia PA 19125. Prayers and words of remembrance 11:30am.
