Effie L. Richardson

It is with broken hearts that the family of Baby Effie L. Richardson announces her sudden passing on June 11, 2026. 

Effie is the beloved daughter of Emmanuel “Manny” Richardson and Abigail “Crystal” West. Dear sister of Elias, Emaj, Ean, and Abigail Love. Cherished granddaughter of Walter West, Amber Quinlan, and Carmelita Ramos. Loving niece of Jovani Zayas, Dominic Rodriguez, Alvin Moreno, Edy Moreno, Evelyn Moreno, Deyanira Mangual, Alesia Marrero, Walter “Kenny” West, and Yashema Tucker.  She is being reunited in heaven with her grandfather Darrell Richardson, her grandmother Abigail Mangual, and all of her family who has gone before her and who were surely there to wrap her in their loving embrace. 

Baby Effie touched so many lives in her brief but beautiful 19 months on this earth. She loved to play, delighted in mealtime, and found joy in the simple things that made childhood so special. Effie had a bright spirit and a smile that could light up a room. Even at such a young age, she possessed a remarkable confidence and a personality far beyond her years. Though her time here was far too short, the love she gave and the happiness she brought to those around her will forever remain in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.

Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing and funeral Tuesday June 23, 2026 beginning at 9:30 at the Rock Ministries 2755 East Kensington Ave. Philadelphia, PA 19134, followed by her funeral service at 11am. Interment to follow in Greenmount Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests and appreciates memorial contributions towards her final expenses and to help the family navigate this tragedy. The family kindly requests that all who attend Effie’s services come together in the spirit of love, compassion, and respect as they honor her precious life. They hope to keep this time sacred and meaningful and respectfully ask that no photographs or videos be taken during the visitation or funeral services, allowing everyone to be fully present in remembering and celebrating Baby Effie.
