Eleanor McGranahan

Eleanor was born in Philadelphia to the late James and Mary Pister McGranahan.  She passed away at Immaculate Mary Center.  She is the last of 11 siblings. 

Miss El was raised in St. Anne's Parish, attending their elementary and Business Schools.  After graduation she went on to spend many years with Bell Telephone Co. as a long-distance operator in the Bourse Building.  A fixture in the parish, she was in charge of the pre-K classroom and worked in the rectory answering phones and various other duties. She was very active in St. Anne's Guild, organizing and working the gift tables at the annual novena.     

Eleanor is survived by her daughter Mary Jane Lentini (James). Grandmother of Jeannine Del Rossi (Kent), James Lentini and Jacqueline Pawlowski (Zack).  Great Grandmother of Nicholas Del Rossi, Charlotte Del Rossi, Ridley Lentini, Jackson Pawlowski, Ciri Lentini, Dexter Pawlowski and twins Nico and Finn Pawlowski. 

Relatives and friends are invited to her funeral Friday, December 6, 2024, beginning at 9:30 and participate in her Funeral Mass at 11 AM, in St. Anne's Church (Upper).  Interment will follow at New Cathedral Cemetery. 

In lieu of flowers, the family is respectfully requesting memorial contributions to St. Anne's Church, at the address below.
