Ellen M. (Sutcliffe) McLeod

Ellen M. McLeod (nee Sutcliffe) "Ellie", age 78, of Philadelphia, passed away peacefully at home on July 14, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Philadelphia on August 13, 1947 to the late Harold and Dorothy (nee McCoy) Sutcliffe. For the last 26 years, Ellen was proud to call Bridesburg her home.

Ellen was a loving wife, exceptional mother, friend, and a dedicated grandmother. Ellen made an impact on all who had the privilege to cross paths with her. She was a fiery woman with a heart that had enough room for all and a woman who loved a cruise, the Phillies, and above all, her family.  

In addition to her parents, Ellen was preceded in death by her husband Edward McLeod, her daughter Erin Nagle, and her siblings. She is survived by her children Dawn Torres, Robin Davis (late Kevin), Michelle Stewart (Phillip), Michael Stratz (Danielle), Shawn Stratz (Robin), Dot Stratz, and Richard Stratz (Shannon). She is sadly missed by her beloved grandchildren Annette, Reyes, Steven, Miguel, Katie, Phillip, Deanna, Emily, Laura, Kiersten, Rebecka, Kristyn, Kellie, James, Jillian, Ellen, Richard, Shawn, Thomas, Harry, John, Andrew, her 11 great grandchildren, and her best friends Connie and Pete Kershes.

Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing and funeral Tuesday July 21, 2026 from 9-10:15am in St. Bartholomew Roman Catholic Church 5600 Jackson Philadelphia, PA 19124, followed by her funeral mass at 10:30am. Ellen will be laid to rest at a later date with her beloved husband Edward.
