Emma T. Pirrone

Emma T. Pirrone passed away on August 10, 2021 just a few days after her 68th birthday. She is the beloved daughter of the late Joseph Pirrone and the late Dorothy Kalinowski Pirrone. Devoted mother to the late Joseph Pirrone. Dear sister of Marie Domenico, Esther Marshall (Rich), Dorothy Bailey (Bill), Theresa Ruderick (Fred), Samuel Pirrone, Annette Pirrone, John Pirrone and the late Tony Pirrone (Bobbie) Michael Pirrone (late Donna), Joseph Pirrone ( late JoJo), Charles Pirrone (late Ginny), and Dwight Pirrone. Loving aunt to her many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. Sadly missed by Gia and Christopher, her best friend Barb Pippette, and many cousins. 

Emma grew up with her siblings in the Frankford section of Philadelphia. As their parents worked, the children took care of each other. As Emma grew older she would take on that very same role to her younger siblings and then her nieces and nephews. She was taught very young the value of family and being dependable and she carried this throughout her life. Emma would spend her life always being there for everyone. She babysat for everyone and even helped raise her nieces. She would take anyone in who was down on their luck and needed a place to stay, a listening ear, or a hot meal. If they were lucky it would be her meatballs, as they were a family favorite. Emma had a huge heart and was very loving to babies and children. She also loved animals especially cats and dogs, and Betty Boop. Emma will be missed  by all who knew and loved her but her family takes comfort in knowing she will be reunited with her family who has gone before her, especially her beloved son Joey. 
 

Relatives and friends are invited to funeral and gathering Friday August 27, 2021 beginning at 9:30am in St. Anne Church 2328 East Lehigh Ave. Philadelphia PA 19125. Funeral Mass 10:30am. Interment to follow in St. Dominic Cemetery.
