Erica Seltner Obituary

Erica A. Seltner passed away peacefully at home on November 27, 2021 after courageously battling health issues. She is the beloved daughter of Robert "Bob" and the late Ann (nee Shingleton) Seltner. Devoted mother to Timothy "TJ" Seltner (Courtney), Ryan Acquaviva (Yamiris), Joey Dolan, and Raeghan Dolan. Loving GG of Mason and Everly Seltner. Dear sister of Jessica Seltner (Danny Mulvenna) and Kasey Baker (Ben). Adoring aunt to Mileigh, Landon, Harper, Jett, Cannon, and Laney Ann who is due to arrive in the spring. Sadly missed by her aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

To know Erica, you would know that she was full of energy. She loved to talk and enjoyed having conversations with everyone she met. She was the extroverted sister in the Seltner family.

Erica was a graduate of St. Hubert’s Catholic High School c/o 97 and was faithful to her alma mater. Erica, was essentially the brains of the family, school came easy for her and she had a love for learning. You would often find her reading, writing or learning about English and History. Erica loved her 80’s music and movies. She loved to stay up late, talk, and binge watch her tv shows. Erica was a stay-at-home mom for most of her life. Sunday dinners were her favorite with her children and grandchildren. She always made sure they all agreed on something that they liked. (They usually picked between spaghetti, meatloaf or hot pork sandwiches.) Erica enjoyed when her children all came together. She was happy grateful, and admired all of them. Erica always made sure to let her children know just how much she loved them and how proud she was of them.

Erica was the best “GG” as her grandchildren called her. Her grandchildren Mason and Everly loved her so much.As a grandmother, she adored both of them and always would call and talk to them about school and other various things going on in their lives.

Erica loved to take trips down the shore (a pastime she inherited from her late mom) She loved spending time with her family. Erica enjoyed summer nights sitting outside reminiscing and bringing up old memories and stories about her children and family.

In recent months despite her declining health, Erica found great comfort and reassurance in attending weekly mass at Holy Name. She gave an immense amount of devotion to God and prayer, her favorite prayer being The Novena for the Feast Day of Our Mother of Perpetual Help: Contemplating the Face of Mary.  Erica also sought peace through reflection and journaling.

Towards the end of her time here on Earth, Erica never once complained about pain or the struggles she went through. She had great strength. She would do whatever she could for you.  Erica will be remembered and missed by all who knew her. She was a great mom, grandmother, daughter, sister, niece, cousin and friend. Her family will miss her spirit and last but not least her laughter. She is peacefully reunited back with her mom, grandparents, and other family members who she adored and loved.
