Evelyn G. Malloy “Glady” passed away peacefully  September 9, 2019. She was 71 years old.  Devoted mother of John, Lynn (Leo), and Heather (Kevin). Loving Mom-Mom of Jeff, Johnny, Alexis, Amberlyn, Shauna, and Dylan. Dear sister of Elsie Townsend. Predeceased by 6 brothers and sisters. Sadly missed by her nieces and nephews

Glady was born on January 19, 1948 to Bernard and Dorothy Hartnett. She grew up in the Kensington section of Philadelphia with her 7 brothers and sisters. She enjoyed singing with her church choir at Mt. Pisgah Church. She attended Mastbaum High School and later worked for many years as a bank teller while raising her family. She enjoyed dancing and being with friends and family. Her greatest joy came from her family especially her grandchildren. She enjoyed spending time with them doing fun things and taking them out for meals. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing and funeral Sunday September 15, 2019 beginning at 11am in the Hubert M. McBride Funeral Home 2357 E. Cumberland Street Philadelphia PA 19125. Funeral service 1pm. Interment Private. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests and appreciates memorial contributions to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society 30 South 17th Street Philadelphia PA 19103
