Floss was born in Philadelphia to the late Albert and Thelma Seiler Trautz. She passed away at her home surrounded by her loved ones. Florence was a woman who navigated life with strength and resilience. She was a mother,
grandmother, sister, aunt, friend and so much more. Flossie enjoyed spending time with her
children and grandchildren. She made her presences in their lives, attending graduations, dance
recitals, birthday parties, weddings and much, much, more. Each of them carries a piece of her
spirit, her laughter, and her unwavering love. Her kindness touched the lives of so many. She had
an uncanny ability to make everyone feel comfortable, whether through a warm smile, a
comforting cup of tea, or simply being there to listen. Those small gestures were her way of
showing love, and they created ripples of warmth that spread far beyond our family. Yet, like all
of us, she was not without her complexities. She could be difficult at times, and it was often her
fierce spirit that fueled both her love and her challenges. But it was that very spirit that made her
uniquely her—full of passion, opinions, and an unyielding heart.
She was the beloved wife of the late William. Devoted mother of William (Chaz), Albert (Heather), Daniel (Phillip), Colleen Clarency (Elwood), Bernadette Anderson (Patrick) and the late John. Grand Mom of two generations of grandchildren: Erin, Bianca, Rebecca, Breanna, William, Nathan, Gabriel, Xaeleigh, Albert, Ashley, Avery, Keegan, Callie, Eleanor, Meghan, Sean, Jenna, Alexandria, Brynn, Patrick, and the late Amanda. Dear sister of Charles Trautz and the late Thelma Stussy, Eleanor Tobin, Geraldine Trautz, Richard Trautz. Sadly missed by many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing and funeral on Tuesday, October 15, 2024 beginning at 9:30 AM followed by her Funeral Service at 11 AM, in the HUBERT M. McBRIDE FUNERAL HOME, 2357 East Cumberland Street. Floss will be laid to rest with her beloved husband William at New Cathedral Cemetery.
